| Goal and Topics The goal of the conference is to promote the exchange of ideas among economists conducting quantitative analysis for policy and decision making in the public and private sector. The meeting will cover all areas of applied modeling for economics, finance and decision making in the government and business world. The conference is co-organized with the CEPII. Please click here to go to the download page. Conference Venue The conference will take place at the University of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne (Université Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne). The conference rooms are in the main building which is on the Square Pantheon (Place de Panthéon, 12). The university is on the 5th District (Arrondissement 5). The closest metro station is Cluny-La Sorbonne (on the metro line 10), and the closest train (RER) station is Luxembourg (on the RER line B). The buses 84 and 89 stop on the Square Pantheon. The buses 21, 27, 38, 82, 85 stop nearby. Software Training In conjunction with the conference, an intensive one-day course will be organized on modeling with GAMS on June 29, 2004. The General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) is a high-level modeling system for mathematical programming problems. GAMS is tailored for complex, large scale modeling applications.
